There was more than a mild drama at Burna Boy’s Love Damini Lagos concert on Sunday as the Grammy Award-winning singer angered his fans for appearing late at his show.

After keeping fans waiting for about four hours without showing up, Burna who was expected to show up on stage on Sunday evening didn’t appear until early hours of Monday morning, keeping thousands of spectators waiting.

As fans began to express their frustration at the lateness of the singer, which according to them has become the norm for many Nigerian artistes to keep their fans waiting at shows, some who couldn’t wait any further started throwing objects on stage including bottles and stones.

Sensing that the situation may take a turn for the worst, BurnaBoy appeared suddenly in his majestic style in a see-through black shirt on black trousers at 3am as he tried to explain reasons for his late appearance on stage.

He lamented that lights were turned off for hours for no reason, urging his fans who at that time were becoming impatient to calm down and enjoy the show.

BurnaBoy also hit angrily at some of his fans who had accused him of killing someone at a popular club in Lagos last year.

Recall that that there was an uproar early last year when news filtered out that the singer allegedly shot and killed a man in a club in Lagos after he was said to have made passes at the man’s wife.

The singer appeared on stage late and went on a tirade spree, saying many people have said a lot negative things about him but he loves his fans hence the reason he came out to entertain them.

BurnaBoy was quoted saying:” You have abused me and called me a killer, abused my mama say she danced for Fela. I love you still. But if you guys don’t love me, God will punish you.”

Some fans, however, apologised to the singer on the accusations.

Some of them said appearing late to the show to perform eventually worth the waiting as the singer gave a good account of himself by his great performance.

Abiodun Ayoyinka, the original Papa Ajasco

Abiodun Ayoyinka, the original actor for Wale Adenuga’s Papa Ajasco series, has cried out on social media after he was mistaken for a stand-in actor who has passed on.

Social media has been inundated with messages of condolence after the death of Femi Ogunrombi, who also played the role of Papa Ajasco, was announced.

Mr Ogunrombi was a stand-in for Papa Ajasco after the thespian pulled out of the movie some years ago.

Due to his resemblance with the original Papa Ajasco, Mr Ogunrombi started answering by the moniker.

This has created confusion as to which of the characters has passed on.

Mr Ayoyinka has brought some clarity to the matter in a short video that has found it’s way to the social media space.

The original Papa Ajasco, whom fans grew up watching is very alive and well, he said in the video.

He, however, expressed thanks to fans whom he said have bombarded his phone with calls to ascertain the news.

      2Face

Nigerian music star, Innocent Idibia, also known as 2face has called on Nigerians to vote wisely and with their conscience as they go into the election season in a few weeks time.

2baba as he loves to be called said Nigerians can’t afford to vote the wrong candidate considering the bad state of the country’s economy and other disturbing indices, stressing that they should resist the politicians who may want to induce them with money.

The African Queen singer insisted that the people have been pushed to the edge and should seize the opportunity before them to do what is right for the country with their voting power.

“Nigerians open your eyes and don’t be fooled this time. The politicians are coming again to fool you with promises that they won’t fulfil. Make the right choice and vote wisely,” he said.
