There was more than a mild drama at Burna Boy’s Love Damini Lagos concert on Sunday as the Grammy Award-winning singer angered his fans for appearing late at his show.

After keeping fans waiting for about four hours without showing up, Burna who was expected to show up on stage on Sunday evening didn’t appear until early hours of Monday morning, keeping thousands of spectators waiting.

As fans began to express their frustration at the lateness of the singer, which according to them has become the norm for many Nigerian artistes to keep their fans waiting at shows, some who couldn’t wait any further started throwing objects on stage including bottles and stones.

Sensing that the situation may take a turn for the worst, BurnaBoy appeared suddenly in his majestic style in a see-through black shirt on black trousers at 3am as he tried to explain reasons for his late appearance on stage.

He lamented that lights were turned off for hours for no reason, urging his fans who at that time were becoming impatient to calm down and enjoy the show.

BurnaBoy also hit angrily at some of his fans who had accused him of killing someone at a popular club in Lagos last year.

Recall that that there was an uproar early last year when news filtered out that the singer allegedly shot and killed a man in a club in Lagos after he was said to have made passes at the man’s wife.

The singer appeared on stage late and went on a tirade spree, saying many people have said a lot negative things about him but he loves his fans hence the reason he came out to entertain them.

BurnaBoy was quoted saying:” You have abused me and called me a killer, abused my mama say she danced for Fela. I love you still. But if you guys don’t love me, God will punish you.”

Yul Edochie denies marriage to Judy, says they are skitmakers
Yul and Judy

Controversial actor, Yul Edochie, has stated that he is not married to his ‘second wife’, Judy Austin.

He made this statement in response to a lawsuit filed against him by his ex-wife, May Edochie.

May Edochie accused her husband of adultery and filed for divorce.

Yul told the court that his connection with Judy Austin was all about skitmaking.

He stated that there is no legally recognized union between them.

In a report by Premium Times, May’s legal team, led by Emeka Ugwuonye of Due Process Advocates, said in a statement that the ongoing case at the FCT High Court in Abuja, scheduled for a hearing on March 5, suffered an unexpected setback when the court session did not proceed, which Yul and Judy claimed credit for.

Ugwuonye said Yul wrote in his petition, “That since the news of the birth of Star in June 2021, Gistlover, as a negative blog that thrives in fake and manipulated information for financial gains, has been negatively exploiting every movie or skit featuring me and Judy and generating social media traffic for financial gains.”

He added that May’s petition mentioned a supposed traditional marriage ceremony between Yul and Judy on April 24, 2022, in Anambra State.

However, Yul refuted the claim, accusing a blogsite of spreading fake information for financial gain.
